Silver Maple Leaf coins can develop red or brown spots due to a natural process called toning. Toning occurs when the silver in the coin reacts with sulfur compounds in the air, causing a chemical reaction that results in discoloration. This process is influenced by factors such as humidity, temperature, and storage conditions. While toning is a natural occurrence and can enhance the beauty of a coin for some collectors, others may prefer to prevent it by storing their coins in airtight containers or using anti-tarnish products. **

It's important to provide a balanced diet for deer and sheep that includes a variety of forage and not rely solely on maple leaves for their nutrition. **
